Jeremy Clarkson's daughter Emily has considered "contacting the police" after she became overwhelmed with online abuse. The 29-year-old is an influencer and runs a successful food blog whilst living in London.

Due to her vast social media following, Emily regularly speaks to her 308,000 followers on Instagram about the latest trends and topics. She recently sparked backlash after posing a question to her fans.

Emily asked whether they would rather be stuck in the woods alone with a bear or a man, after spotting the debate go viral online. She was shocked when the majority of female responders were in favour of being with a bear.

Speaking in a video, Emily responded: "I just think this is a bit of a wild one because this is now becoming a huge debate online and women are being told what they always are when they acknowledge the existence of male violence... they're ridiculous, dramatic, lying, exaggerating, wrong."

She added: "Look, I don't personally fancy my chances with a bear but I also frustratingly don't really fancy my chances with a man either and that's the tragedy, that's the point!"

However, Emily's video sparked backlash and she was on the receiving end of multiple trolls sending her abusive messages. She has since shared some of the comments online and called out those who have sent her the messages.

The debate has since taken a toll on Emily, who uploaded a selfie on Thursday and wrote: "I tried vlogging the whole day yesterday and it went really well until 4pm and then my day caught fire and was so stressful so that means I looked like a D**K on the train filming myself like a loser for no reason at all.

"It was also supposed to be talking about the bear thing but I've decided I might actually contact the police about a couple of the accounts sending messages. It all just feels stress and I'm too anxious to post s**t which is ANNOYING."

She continued: "Feel like you can sum us up today by the fact I just opened the kitchen cupboard and one of these glasses is half full with water. Whose? Why? And since WHEN?"

Recently, Emily's father Jeremy has returned in the highly-anticipated third series of Clarkson's Farm. The former Top Gear presenter resumed his farming duties alongside fan favourites such as Kaleb Cooper.

Clarkson's Farm centres around Jeremy getting to grips with his Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton. The first series was so successful that it has projected Diddly Squat into the limelight and continues to attract visitors across the country.

Clarkson's Farm can be streamed now on Amazon Prime.
