Umph, UK. today ! Do many children, mothers even know who or where daddy is. Cynical, wicked even, unfair comment ! If the cap fits wear it.
Self analysis / appraisel.

DEVOTED TO YOU.

It's night, the
fall of an absent
caprice leaves
in the country
a sullen behaviour,
the sound of
a fancy and
always that care,
like a beautiful
fortune.

My favourite childhood toy was - and still is - my Subbuteo Table Soccer. Perfect for a rainy day. If I didn't have an opponent say brother or friend to have a game with I would use the solitude to brush up on my skills.

MY DAD...

...was a builder, and he designed and made a set of walls (all sizes), windows, doors, shop fronts, roofs, etc etc, they had holes in the tops and the bottoms where little pegs slotted in, these went on to the floor/ceiling base which had a series of matching holes. My sister and I played for hours with that until we were about 12 years old. We used our imagination and that is something children don't have to do much of these days.

THE GREATEST TOY?
13.08.08, 8:24pm
When I was a lad of ten my father bought me a meccano set - the biggest and most complex available. They were'nt being manufactured any more, but this one he got from a friend whose son was bored with it. What a great and constructive (forgive the pun) gift this was!. I made so many complicated working models, and never got tired of it. It helped me to understand mechanics, leverage etc, and in later life made stripping down motor cycle engines a doddle, my bikes were the fastest around after having the BHP tweaked up 50%.. Later on, my favourite toys were girls!!
