The BBC is by it's own admission a left leaning medium who believe their mission is to put politicians on the spot. Just where did it all go wrong? While most (but not all) of Fleet street could be accused of right wing biased the major difference is that nobody is obliged to buy a newspaper!!

I agree with all the comments, I am seething having to pay a license and forced to listen to just the views they allow. I am forced to pay as the rest of the Country, it is just legalized theft IMOP.
I hate all the PC crap, so I rarely watch the BBC.
I am a smoker and I could not believe the one sided debate with that one, then what is going on with the EU and the vote we were all promised. They are not giving the opposition a voice at all.

I loathe the BBC, most of its programmes are from the gutter. East Enders is an example of a programme portraying every thing that is bad in society as normal and acceptable behaviour. The BBC defends such dreadful programmes by saying they are only reflecting society, well, they are not. What is broadcast on television is reflected in Society and not the other way round. As for bias, just watch Question Time. Nearly every time its one poor tory opposed by four loony left wingers. Even the audience seems to be hand picked. It's the same on the BBC World Service, I watched one political debate recently, where the whole panel and the presenter were left wing. Some times the World Service its so packed with ethnic minorities presenters, that you wonder if it is really the BBC. Fortunately, I am not resident in the UK at the moment so the BBC can go swing for their licence fee. Even if I was I dont think I pay the fee now for this appalling and biased organisation.

BBC ADVERTISES FOR STAFF ONLY IN THE GUARDIAN

The licence tax of the BBC must be scrapped. Its bias is obvious. Has anyone ever seen a job advert for the BBC in THE EXPRESS, or THE TIMES, or THE TELEGRAPH? You won't - the BBC advertises only in THE GUARDIAN.

There appear to be many reasons for rebelling against the "Sneering BBC"....the extortionate fees paid to so-called celebrities, the hospitality junkets, jollies etc, etc. But strangest of all is why conscientious objectors are not prosecuted....obviously if a prosecution fails for a legal or legitimate reason, everyone would gain knowledge of a pecuniary value and the TV licence fee would disappear forever.

Maybe it's not so strange principled objectors are not prosecuted, when you take a look at this website appertaining to the legality of the TV License law when measured against European Community competition articles 86 & 82 read together.

I can tell you who are the heroes to the BBC, The European Union and Isreal...I could not believe my ears when I was listening to the Today programme interview the Isreali prime minister this morning... it was like they were interviewing Jesus himself !

Anyway, it does not matter a jolt....because under European Law the BBC is an illegal organisation !
No company is allowed to exist that has to be supported by government/taxpayers money where it competes with private enterprise...like Sky and ITV ...Th eBBC is an ILLEGAL organisation - just like the Gas Board, the Post Office... the Electricity Board, British Rail, and the Water Board...
So the BBC must be privatised or closed... under EU law...' king ironic isn't it ?

have you ever thought that youve paid your money ,and you ended up being conned.local councils ,the government and the b b c are all taking the public for a ride,its like a mafia organization ,your forced into paying for a service thats going to sell you thin air,and if you dont pay ,you will be recieving a knock on the door.

Did you see the BBC bosses defending themselves over the Ross affair, today - rather defending Ross and his salary again -pathetic - There is something fishy there - I'm sure of it - Bloke sweating it out,, blaming the people who let the programme go on air. It was ROSS who uttered the vulgarity -If he hadn't opened his filthy dirty mouth - it would not have happened. Why do they defend him - he's no good - his brother has a much nicer personality, he could do the job better. But it's all keep Ross - what does he know? I think the Met ought to be brought in and investigate the whole of the BBC - there is something very wrong - and it seem very dirty - How far does it go - add up a few news stories over the years and present - I think you will come up with a conclusion - it isn't pretty.

Surely its against the law to be forced to buy licence if you just have a TV?! I only want to watch satelite TV so block other channels on my TV but don't force me to pay for something I don't watch!

I very rarely watch the bbc,if i do it is to watch a documentary or a news item,but i always seem to get annoyed at the blatant bias against the tories,whenever they interview a tory mp they seem to go for the jugular,but when it comes to labour mps it,s one easy ride.It,s quite clear that the bbc have a left wing agenda,and i for one resent having to pay a tax to a corporation that doesn,t represent me.

THE BBC ARE A ROTTEN TO THE CORE ORGANISATION ...

I stopped paying the licence years ago... so one day I found this Eastern European in my garden eating my fruit and he explained he was from the TV licensing as best as he could as his English was terrible,anyway when he had finished asking me questions he asked me to sign his bit of paper,so I said "stick it up your Ar**" ... Well when I read it I was shocked at just how bad it was,he had got my gender wrong,spelled my name wrong and numerous hard to read what evers, the upshot was that I had to attend the court and sure enough my comment was read out in court,most folks smiled and I was fined £95 even though I told them I DON,T WATCH TV ... since then they have been round checking,they just don,t get it,they think everyone is like them...a cheating dishonest nasty Bas****.
Finally, only five others turned up at the court but on the wall was some information,like if you don,t turn up you are found guilty...WELL...there was over a hundred others that did not attend and if everyone did attend then the court would not have been able to do them all in time...TV licensing are cashing in on the fact that most don,t attend. Talk about nasty dishonest Bas***** ...
The BBC must be destroyed for they are evil.

Although I am not the bill payer in my house, if I were, I would not pay my TV Licence and possibly scrap my TV altogether.

The BBC has a distinct bias against the British people, it would seem, and they are much too politically orientated - that is to say, Marxist orientated.

At the beginning of this year that answer would never have been an option.
At the end of April, the BBC. closed down the Action Network website and abandoned one of the most popular destinations on the internet. It was always very near or at the very top of every search made. What a waste. Still its only licence payers money, why should they worry?
If you are going to start a campaign against the Licence Fee, you can put my name alongside yours at the very top.
