Naked truth about Dan’s ticket trick
IT seems modesty has no place in the current economic climate. When Daniel Radcliffe took the lead in Equus, producers promised they wouldn’t exploit the fact that the young Harry Potter star appears full-frontal nude in the second act.
But now that the credit crunch is biting down hard on Broadway, an advertisement for the Peter Shaffer play has appeared showing Radcliffe, 19, a veritable heart-throb among teenage girls, naked to below his navel.
“Poor chap,” adds a source, “but sex sells, even in the case of high-brow drama.”
