Diana Ross jets in for tycoon's party
Belts have certainly not been tightened in billionaire John Caudwell’s household.
The 56-year-old tycoon, who founded and later sold mobile phone retailer Phones 4U, splashed out on a unique gift for his partner Claire Johnson’s 40th birthday – he flew in Diana Ross to sing at a party at their Staffordshire home. [>

Arriving with two female assistants and flanked by bodyguards, Diana sang old and new hits for 40 minutes in front of 250 family and friends.
