Britons were largely split on whether the Queen should forgive Prince Harry following reports of rifts between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family.

GB News host Patrick Christys questioned Britons on whether the relationship between the monarch and Harry was "irreparable".

Some Britons rejected suggestions that Harry should be forgiven, with one man simply saying: "Definitely not!"

Another member of the British public said: "He's ousted himself from the British public now."

One woman urged the family to move, saying: "Of course, she should forgive him. He is her grandson. She is going to be loyal to the family.

"She can tell him off. She can be annoyed but I don’t think she should freeze him out."

Meghan attempts ‘to get Harry to relax’

Express.co.uk spoke to body language expert Judi James about the interactions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Invictus Games in the Netherlands for the Land Rover Driving Challenge.

Ms James said: “It looks as though Meghan has been putting in the extra effort to get Harry to relax and maybe show us the fun and carefree Prince we saw during their first public appearance as a couple at the Invictus back in 2017.

“Although Harry is clearly at the event he adores he has been looking a little emotional at times so far and Meghan seems to be keen to influence his body language mood by doing what is called ‘leading’ and ‘pacing’, i.e. setting the tone via her own active rituals."

Harry grows emotional as he shares hopes for Archie future

Prince Harry said "nothing" would make him or Meghan Markle "prouder" than their son Archie being inspired by the motivation and commitment shown by Invictus Games participants.

The Duke told the crowd at the opening ceremony: "To be role models, or the role models, that each of you are takes strength and it takes courage.

"When I talk to my son Archie about what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it's an astronaut, other days it's a pilot - a helicopter pilot obviously. Or Kwazii from Octonauts. If you're laughing then you've seen that.

"But what I remind him is that no matter what you want to be when you grow up, it's your character that matters most, and nothing would make his mum and me prouder than to see him have the character of what we see before us today."

Speaking to GB News, royal author Phil Dampier said: "The other thing is, they haven't brought Archie and Lilibet.

"The Queen is yet to meet Lilibet, her great-granddaughter.

Eugenie 'played role' in Harry and Meghan's meeting with Queen

Princess Eugenie has been credited with playing an important role in reuniting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with the Queen.

Writing in his Daily Mail column, Ricard Kay noted: "It was also the first time Meghan had seen any of her royal in-laws since March 2020.

"Intriguingly it involved a fifth member of the Royal Family who was not present at either meeting – Princess Eugenie.

"The princess who is temporarily living in her cousin’s Frogmore Cottage with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their son August, is thought to have played an ‘encouraging’ role behind the scenes.

"She is Harry’s closest royal ally – she and Jack visited the Sussexes in California earlier this year – and is also close to the Queen."
