Prince Harry’s explosive Spare memoir marked the start of a career split with Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been the subject of speculation as some suggest the couple are splitting as they appear less together.

While friends and spokespeople have rubbished the claims, the rumors started as Harry released his tell-all book back in January.

Highlights from Spare saw him allege Prince William assaulted him at Frogmore Cottage, and claims that Queen Camilla “sacrificed me on her personal PR altar".

While Harry did the media rounds promoting his memoir, Meghan was notably absent despite the pair appearing together on TV after stepping down from the Royal Family in 2020.

However, a source told the Telegraph that while Meghan may have gone a different route to Harry at the time, she did not get involved as it was deeply personal to her husband.

“Is this the way she would have approached things? Possibly not,” the source said.

“But she will always back him and would never have got involved in promoting such a personal project.

“This was about his own life, his journey and his own perspective.”

It comes after Meghan is reportedly taking a “step away” from her and Harry’s joint brand to pursue her own solo career.

After the Duchess signed with the talent agency William Morris Endeavour, she is set to work on her own projects.

A source told Bella magazine: “Meghan feels she'll have better success if she takes the time to work on projects alone without Harry - even though he always gives her his full support.

They also claimed the new deal "is about making Meghan a power player in Hollywood" in her own right.
