Prince William has notably stepped up his royal schedule since his 53-day summer break, something which led many to criticise the future King.

The royal has been out-and-about on many visits, even paying a solo trip to the US last month.

William, who has been without his wife on many of these visits, has been praised for his confident approach to his duties, as well as appearing to subtly take note of some of the criticism following his break from royal duties.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to take their role as hands-on parents very seriously, despite the weight that lays upon them as the next in line to the throne.

The royal couple typically use the summer months for quality time with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, an action that has led many to comment on why they are able to take an extended break.

Despite being entitled to time off, Prince William's work ethic has been called into question as of late - with some saying that he should be doing more as the future King.

But Kate and William are patrons for 50 charities, as well as running their own projects on the side, and work tirelessly to support them.

Although the royal, who is next in line to the throne, has faced criticism, William has had a busy September - and an equally jam-packed schedule during the first week of October.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have taken to Instagram to give royal fans a 'September Rewind' of the past month - highlighting how busy the couple has been.

William returned from his summer break on September 7, with a trip to Bournemouth as part of his homelessness project, Homewards.

As he continued his support to end homelessness, William visited a Pret A Manger store to discuss The Pret Foundation's plans to help homeless people back into work.

Former England football star Paul Gascoigne was on hand to support the royal in his quest.

Just a few days later, both William and Kate arrived in France for the Rugby World Cup. On September 10, William supported Wales in their game against Fiji in Bordeaux.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also appeared on Mike Tindall's @Goodbadrugby podcast last month, where they opened up about the reputation they have for being competitive with each other.

On September 18, William made an appearance in New York City as part of his two-day visit for his ground-breaking Earthshot environmental awards.

The royal arrived on a commercial flight and travelled straight to Governors Island to meet students, volunteers and restaurateurs involved in the Billion Oyster Project, a unique initiative to restore oyster beds in New York harbour.

On Tuesday, October 3, William stepped out for a joint engagement with Kate in Cardiff.

To mark the 75th anniversary of Windrush and the start of Black History Month, the couple met members of the Windrush generation and celebrated the work of diverse community groups in the area.

Next month, William will be taking a solo trip to Singapore for the third instalment of the Earthshot Prize Awards.

The Princess of Wales has opted to stay in Windsor to help prepare, and support, their eldest son during his exams.

Some people have even accused Kate and William of shirking their responsibilities as senior members of the Royal Family, with them also being next in line to the throne.

Taking to Twitter, royal fans criticised the couple's "long holidays", with one referring to their life as "one big holiday".

Another wrote: "They're always on holiday. They never do anything. Useless clowns."
