Leftie Corbynista Ash Sarkar SHUT DOWN in furious row over ‘inappropriate’ joke

DAN WOOTTON and Corbynista Ash Sarkar got into a fierce row over the Labour supporter's "inappropriate joke" regarding immigration.

Ash Sarkar clashes with radio host over immigration 'joke'

Novara Media Senior Editor Ash Sarkar has faced a fierce backlash after a clip on the topic of integration in London has resurfaced. Ms Sarkar has been accused of being "racist" for exclaiming "yes lads, we are winning" after revealing a decline in white British people in London during a clip in 2016. TalkRADIO host Dan Wootton challenged Ms Sarkar on these comments and challenged her to explain herself.

He said: "Some people have pointed out online some of your language in the past has come into the same territory as Trevor Phillips.

"There was a clip where you said the white British population was decreasing by 600,000 and the minority population was increasing by 1.2 million.

"Then you said, yes lads we are winning.

"That doesn't seem particularly appropriate, what did you mean?"

Ms Sarkar began explaining that her comments were sarcastic and attempting to mock views she considered ridiculous.

She said: "This video was called Against Integration and you can find it on YouTube.

"It was about this one researcher Professor Ted Cantal and his research suggesting Britain is becoming more segregated than ever on the basis of race.

"That is one of the statistics that he cites, my opinion, backed by other academic research, is that he has got a flawed way of looking at integration.

"This is because he looks at it as white British people versus everyone else and my point is that is not white British people versus everyone else."

Mr Wootton pressed Ms Sarkar for more clarity on her comments "we are winning" and what she was hoping to convey.

She said: "This was a way of being sarcastic and taking the mick out of that point of view.

"Are we not allowed to take the mick out of positions that we find absurd?

"The position that I find absurd is that there is some kind of demographic warfare between ethnic minorities by parodying it.

"It was a nine-second clip and the context of the full video would show I was making fun of that point of view."

Mr Wootton's comparison to Trevor Phillips latest controversy comes after the Labour Party chose to suspend the ex-chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission over suspected Islamophobia.

The Labour Party came under constant criticism for its inability to stamp out racism in its party during the run-up to the last general election.

Mr Phillips previously ruled out voting for Jeremy Corbyn's outfit at the last election over its failure to deal with anti-Semitism.

Mr Phillips said the Labour Party was in danger of collapsing into a "brutish, authoritarian cult."

The Labour Party said it takes complaints about Islamophobia "extremely seriously" and will continue to investigate.

A spokeswoman added: "The complaints are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures, and any appropriate disciplinary action is taken."

Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Phillips stood by his previous assertions that Muslims were "different", adding: "Well, actually, that's true. The point is Muslims are different and in many ways I think that is admirable."

But he criticised the party for taking offence, saying: "I am kind of surprised that what is and always has been an open and democratic party decides that its members cannot have healthy debate about how we address differences of values and outlooks."

Mr Phillips went on to describe the decision by Labour to adopt the definition of Islamophobia agreed by an all-party parliamentary group on British Muslims as "nonsense", as Muslims were "not a race".

He added: "My objection is very simple. That definition said...that Islamophobia is rooted in a kind of racism - expressions of hostility towards Muslimness. First of all, Muslims are not a race. My personal hero was Muhammad Ali, before that Malcolm X. They became Muslims largely because it is a pan-racial faith. This is not a racial grouping, so describing hostility to them as racial is nonsense."
