Killer clown craze sees theme park bosses to make REAL clowns remove make up
THEME park bosses have ordered staff to remove horror costumes and make-up before leaving work to avoid scaring children as the “killer clown” craze sweeps Britain.
Thorpe Park has warned its actors not to leave the Halloween Fright Nights attractions without taking off their “blood-splatter” face paint and ghoulish garments.
The park in Surrey is not removing its Fright Nights characters, including the demonic clowns, but precautions are in place.
A spokesman said: “Fright Nights is a fantasy experience – we’re a theme park – people understand that upon entering our gates.
“All of our actors must remove their make-up and outfits before leaving the park.”
Surprising twist on 'killer clown' pranks
Police forces all over Britain have put on additional reassurance patrols amid a flurry of “killer clown” sightings, which they expect to increase in the run-up to Halloween on Monday, October 31.
