SHOCK EXIT: John Sergeant has left Strictly Come Dancing

Wednesday November 19,2008

VETERAN broadcaster John Sergeant has pulled out of Strictly Come Dancing.

The 64-year-old, who has been savaged by the show's judges week after week, has decided to bow out of the competition, according to BBC reports.

In a statement released today, he said: "The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far."

The former political journalist, who was dubbed "the dancing pig" by judge Arlene Phillips, has repeatedly been saved by the public vote.

* Should John Sergeant have LEFT Strictly Come Dancing?

* Do YOU think he was forced to leave after the criticism he faced on the show?

* Should the public have FINAL SAY on who stays and who goes?

Of course he should have left. He could not dance. This is a programme of dancing ability and achievbements, he didnt have any, only a host of people who voted for the wrong reasons

A POPULAR FORMER US TV NEWS PRESENTER WHO OBSESSIVELY HACKED INTO THE EMAIL OF A YOUNGER RIVAL DUBBED "ANCHORBABE" AND LEAKED GOSSIP ABOUT HER TO THE PRESS ESCAPED JAIL.

27.11.08, 1:14pm

Sorry, 'have your say' was again denied for this article...

The problem here besides the perpetrators bad motives, is that our very governments are setting the worst example for privacy that, in the civilised world, had once been expected and taken for granted. Under the guise of terrorist protection, all communications are scrutinised for the public defence... the problem here is that this man could have just as easily presented the argument that he only eavesdropped for the purposes of defending his company against someone suspected of malicious motive; the same argument presented by our leaders for their pervasive, and illegal interception of private domestic correspondence.
Business, and individuals at large naturally look to their leaders for example... but just as in the case of government, and in recognition that a percentage of the humans involved will always be less than good citizens, a view that these illegal excursions into our mail and phone calls will never be used for purposes of personal gain or mal-intent is absolutely ridiculous...

But I'm still not sure that the British people of Boston Lincs would appreciate being compared with those in Boston (Mass) who have a reputation for kicking out the British.

lol

Actually you do not seem to be able to grasp, the essance of a point.

The people in Boston, Lincs voted for BNP right?
Which means they are voting AGAINST the British establishment...who are in power at the current time.

The people in Boston, USA. was also AGAINST the establishment at the time, who happened to be the British.

THAT was my point....they were BOTH against the establishment at the time.

Now referring to your comment about the people would not appreciate being compared with Boston Lincs to Boston USA.

The people in Boston Lincs, are very proud to be compared to Boston USA. Seeing as the Boston in USA took the name from the Boston in Lincs.

So Beefsandwich, another history lesson for you it seems. For you being a "little englander" as you say, you really must brush up on your history.

But more importantly, in future determine the crux of a point being referred to.

SOMALI PIRATES HAVE MOVED THEIR HIJACKED SUPERTANKER FURTHER OUT TO SEA AFTER AN EXTREMIST ISLAMIC GROUP THREATENED TO ATTACK THEM FOR SEIZING A MUSLIM-OWNED VESSEL.

25.11.08, 6:38pm

Sorry, comments were unceremoniously disallowed for this issue...

It appears that the Shishkebab rebels are a little worried that all this pirate press is attracting a little too much attention to their little paradise. Perhaps they will reign in this problem a bit on their own?
