Kate Middleton gets a diamond...but still no proposal
DIAMONDS may be a girl’s best friend but even princes may buy their girlfriend something different every now and again.
Kate Middleton was showing off a big sparkling cocktail ring in London’s West End.
It was the first time for a while that Prince William’s girlfriend had been seen out on the town, and the amber ring on the middle finger of her left hand drew admiring glances.
There was no sign of the Prince but as speculation mounts once again about the likelihood of a royal engagement, Kate, 27, may well be hoping she will soon be sporting a different kind of ring.
Wearing an electric blue mini dress, blazer, pashmina, and boots, she joined friends at the premiere of Tenacity On The Tasman at the Odeon Leicester Square.
The film is a documentary about William’s friend, the rower Oliver Hicks.
William and Harry will be at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family on Christmas Day
Kate is expected to go on holiday with William after Christmas but they are likely to be apart on Christmas Day.
A source close to the Prince said: “William and Harry will be at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family on Christmas Day.”
The only way Kate will be allowed to join them is if the couple have announced an engagement. Royal insiders say there is no indication of an imminent announcement.
