Sunday December 6,2009

By Camilla Tominey

PRINCE CHARLES might have looked a little out of his depth when he was famously photographed trying to tango with argentine dancer Adriana Vasile back in 1999 – but help is at hand.

Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has offered him and Camilla private dancing lessons after the royal couple
were revealed as unlikely fans of the show. Brendan said: “It would be an honour to teach them a few moves.

Everybody can benefit from a perfect tango.”

The heir to the throne’s enthusiasm for strictly was revealed by Tess Daly, Bruce Forsyth’s co-presenter. she and her
husband, TV presenter Vernon Kay, are ambassadors of The Prince’s Trust, Charles’ charity for young people. she told a magazine that Camilla had confided that they not only liked to watch the programme at highgrove but had also regularly rung in to vote for pop singer

Rachel stevens last year. Miss stevens, of S Club 7, was a runner-up, beaten by holby City actor Tom Chambers.

When asked who her dream contestant would be, Daly said: “Prince Charles, because he loves the show.”

Charles and Camilla aren’t the only royal fans of strictly. Princess anne’s daughter Zara Phillips is also a self- confessed devotee and has been asked to take part. so far she has refused.
