JAMIE'S GRAND DESIGN FOR MUSEUM

Tuesday April 1,2008

MOCKNEY chef Jamie Oliver plans to expand his empire further by building a British Food Museum.

Jamie, renowned for his maverick ideas and business sense, wants to use his experience “to create a masterpiece of senses and flavours”.

“I’ve given myself a bit of a challenge that in the next 10 years I want to get a lottery grant and build a food museum celebrating all the food greats in Britain, right back to Marguerite Patten and Fanny Cradock,” he tells Sainsbury’s Magazine.

“I want to have kids coming in and having all kinds of different experiences on a big, big level – something half the size of the Millennium Dome. And obviously I’d pull in all the wonderful, relevant people like Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay to consult on it.”

But would egomaniac Ramsay really want to play second fiddle to the boy Jamie?
