HIS distinguished steel-grey barnet is part of his appeal but silver fox George Clooney jokes that should he start to lose his locks, his screen career will be doomed.

Academy Award-winning Clooney, 46, pictured cuddling up to glamorous co-star Renée Zellweger at the Hollywood premiere of his latest film Leatherheads (his girlfriend Sarah Lawson came too), fully admits: “My career will plummet.

“All careers do. So I’m going to enjoy this while it’s going on. I’ve got good screen hair so I must make the most of it before it falls out,” he tells eve magazine.

Never fear, George. A lack of locks has never done the likes of Sir Sean Connery any harm!

Meanwhile, gorgeous George – who won a best supporting actor Oscar for Syriana, says he has learned to live with the trappings of being a “celebrity”.

“I am a public figure and if I walk out of a brothel with a hooker on my arm, then I deserve what ’s coming to me,” he says.
