ARE MOTORISTS TAXED TO THE HILT

This is obviously a stealth tax rather than a bid to ease traffic congestion.
When the government add an additional lane, with a charge to use it, people will see that this government is trying to ease traffic congestion.
Have this government completely lost sight of what is fair and justified?
Do they understand how and why they are in power anymore?
I used to think the government took our money to spend it for our good.
I can clearly see where they take my money but I am having trouble finding the results of my input.
Can anybody help me avoid the potholes on the road on my journey to find the good.

Bet they wont get rid of the road tax if they bring in tolls or lower fuel duty....another way of raking it in....again UK paying to use the roads 3X whereas other countries only once...!!

Tolls on the M8 e.g. would be a gold mine. Drivers have no other ways to go from Glasgow to Edinburgh or visa versa. they just wnt to use cogestion as cash cow. and how about satelite tracking? will they abandon road tax? No way.

Just a quicky!
"Global warming is harming our planet
and fossil fuels make this come true
by footprints of carbon from vehicles
even the ones that are new".
If curbing pollution will stop it
(the government say this is so)
then make a decisive decision
tell car makers were they can go!
But this is not what the great plan is,
big thirsty cars still are made
the idea`s to rake in some money
the warming won`t come if you`ve paid.
So gird up your` loins and accept it
All governments are raking it in
and Gordon along with the others
tell us, not to pay, is a sin.
