Couple win heavenly £1.2 million

Thursday July 24,2008

By Penny Stretton for Express.co.uk

An ecstatic mother of four described how she believes a 'sign' from her dead father helped her win £1.2 million on the National Lottery.

Susan Crossland, 44, said she and her husband Michael, 39, were over the moon when they thought they had won a mere £74 on three other lines on their Lotto ticket.

In the excitement they nearly didn't notice that their actual win was a staggering £1,218,618.

Once the the couple realised they had scooped a life changing amount Mrs Crossland suddenly remembered seeing a shower of white feathers the week before and hoping that some luck would come her way.

She burst into tears when she described the feathers and said she believes her win was a “gift” from her late father predicting something good was going to happen to her.
