AN 11-year-old boy sunk his teeth into a pitt bull's neck in an attempt to save himself from atttack.

Reports say that Gabriel Almeida was playing in his uncle's backyard in the town of Belo Horizonte when the vicious dog lunged at his left arm.

In an act of self-defence the young boy grabbed the dog by the neck and bit him - so hard in fact that he lost a canine tooth.
