Leysi Suarez from Peru faces up to eight years in jail because she wanted to have a photographic symbol showing  her deep affection for her nation.

She decided that the best way to achieve this was by stripping naked and and sitting on the flag of Peru for a photo shoot.

But the expression of allegiance has angered patriots who say she must be punished.

Leysi Suarez insists she has committed no crime.

“I love Peru and show it with my body and soul,” she said.
