CALAMITY-HIT BROWN FACES PARTY CALLS FOR A LEADERSHIP VOTE

Story Image

SHAMED: Should Gordon Brown just go?

Sunday August 10,2008

By Kirsty Buchanan

GORDON Brown is facing grassroots demands for a make-or-break party vote on his crisis-hit leadership.

Campaigners want nomination papers for the post of leader and deputy leader sent to thousands of Labour members.

They have found a clause in Labour’s own rule book that could force a membership vote on the leadership ahead of next month’s critical party conference.

The move would smoke out allies of leadership rival David Miliband and spark open warfare within Labour’s rank-and-file, derailing Mr Brown’s hopes of an autumn fightback.

Allies insist the Prime Minister is “very focused” on a September re-launch, and is putting the finishing touches to a Cabinet reshuffle and a package of aid for families struggling with rising food and fuel bills.

But there are growing disputes within the Brown camp about the survival strategy being drafted.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

SHOULD SHAMED BROWN TAKE THE HINT AND QUIT?

SHOULD MINISTERS FORCE A LEADERSHIP ELECTION?

LETS SEND DOSEY DAVE TO THE PALACE

20.08.08, 1:55am

How better all our lives will be when we have the shaven skinny legged, bouffant haired, bleached teethed, sun bed obsessed, multi millionaire that steals thousands off the British peoples taxes to pay off the mortgage on his third home. Dosey Dave, save us.

You won me over today when you stood up to the Russians and declared that under your rule they would never be allowed to shop in Shelfridges. Way to go Dosey.

YOU CAN'T MAKE ME.!

Dear Gordan, for once in your life do the decent thing and stand for election too Prime Minister.

You know only too well that you are in a situation to which you have NOT been voted into by the Electorate.

You carry out and make decision on behalf of the people, yet you do not have an mandate to rule and make those decision's you are not much better than those Dictators of other countries who can't take criticism either.

Look in the mirror and ask who is the hypocrite.!
