I'm A Celeb: Matt Hancock is stung by a scorpion

When it was announced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock was entering the I'm A Celebrity jungle there was an uproar from members of the public. Viewers and many who had never watched the show were confused as to why he was entering the reality show after the events which occurred during the coronavirus pandemic. Now, many viewers have taken matters into their own hands and made many complaints to Ofcom (Office of Communications) over his appearance.

Last year, Matt stepped down from his cabinet position after CCTV footage of him having an affair and breaking social distancing guidelines was exposed.

The politician’s arrival into the jungle has been met with intense backlash with several planning to report his inclusion to Ofcom.

Since entering the jungle, Matt has taken on every single Bushtucker Trial, being voted by the members of the public.

He also admitted he made mistakes during the coronavirus pandemic after being grilled by his fellow campmates.

As the celebrities enter their second week in the jungle, fans have called for a new rule to be put in place to ensure contestants don't do too many trials in a row to make it fair.

She shared: "It’s massively bigger than that. My aunt died from Covid in the first wave. So, we couldn’t go to the hospital to go and visit her.

"I had to sit by myself in the church at her funeral. We couldn’t hug each other because we were following guidance. And I get that you fell in love, I understand all of those things, but sorry for a lot of families like mine doesn’t really cut it."

Matt admitted stories like hers are why he "regrets" what happened before breaking down in tears wishing for forgiveness from the public.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! airs daily from 9pm on ITV.
