ITV viewers fume over 'ridiculous' This Morning segment as millionaires slam GCSEs

Youngsters across the country nervously collected their GCSE results and while some will have received the results they'd hoped for, others might be disappointed.

Dave Fishwick shares he has no GCSE's despite becoming a millionaire

stars discussed GCSE results on Thursday and aired a segment titled "We don't have GCSEs but we're millionaires", which sparked a backlash with viewers.

The  magazine show saw regular Dave Fishwick and Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne discussing how they'd managed to find success without qualifications.

The conversation didn't go down well with those tuned in though, and many took to social media to slam the segment.

Twitter user @Boppity_Boo34 wrote: "'We don’t have GCSEs but were millionaires' well good for you two #ThisMorning."

Highlighting the rogue apostrophe on the caption of the interview, @ianmurphy89 penned: "Probably would’ve been able to use apostrophes properly if you’d taken GCSEs though. #ThisMorning."

@Bebop76845845 asked: "How many millionaires did do exams? Let's not celebrate not doing your best or not trying in exams #ThisMorning."

"It’s not what you know, it’s who you know #ThisMorning," another shared.

@R3TRO8OY commented: "There’s nothing more reassuring than 4 millionaires sitting round a table bragging about how easy it was to make their money is it #ThisMorning." (sic)

"Let's speak to Dave, do you remember that feeling when you open that envelope and I suppose you're all geared up for something, there's that doubt in your mind, and it doesn't always go the way that you were hoping for," host Rochelle Humes stated.

"Well, no I don't," Dave replied, adding: "Because I didn't take any exams!"

"Did you not? None at all?" Andi Peters quizzed.

"None at all, what I did was the year before my father got me a job on a building site, it was a summer job for five weeks and the builder said to me at the end of the five-week holiday, 'I'll give you a job when you leave school lad, you've worked hard,'"Dave enthused.

He continued: "So I thought, 'I don't need qualifications' so straight from school, no qualifications, onto a building site."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
