Sunday Brunch’s Tim Lovejoy forced to apologise as guest swears minutes into live show

Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy swiftly apologised to viewers for any offence caused.

Sunday Brunch: Humphrey Ker swears during show intro

Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy was forced to issue an apology just minutes into the show today after guest Humphrey Ker swore during his introduction. The 41-year-old was quizzed about the Wrexham football team travelling to Las Vegas for another celebratory party, courtesy of co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, following the club's promotion to League One.

After Tim questioned Humphrey about whether they had paid for the trip themselves, the actor said they had and claimed they would struggle to put it through expenses as a "giant p**s-up". Swiftly reacting to the rude word, Tim: "Oh, you're not allowed to say that word Humphrey," which prompted the guest to apologise.

The host went on to say: "We're in England, you can't use that word, I apologise if anyone is offended by Humphrey's potty mouth."

"I've blown it already," the actor replied, as his fellow guests laughed about the blunder. Moving swiftly on from the moment, Tim announced that it was Simon Rimmer's birthday which sparked cheers from the guests.

Joining Humphrey in the studio today were guests Myleene Klass, Clara Amfo, The Chase stars Jenny Ryan and Shaun Wallace and Caity Baser. In a discussion about nicknames with the panel, Tim shared which names the show had come up with for each of them.

Turning to Clara, the host said: "Our production have written nicknames for you, you're going to be called, Clara the headline show Amfo or Clara Amfo[r] the win."

Back to Humphrey, the actor said he didn't have a nickname but believes his name is already "weird" as "there's not many Humphrey's around". Revealing what name they had thought of for him, Tim said: "We've got, the hump."

Not impressed however, the actor asked: "Can I not be hump for the win?"

Laughing, Simon chimed in: "This sounded better in rehearsals didn't it Tim."

Bringing up his previous blunder on the show, Humphrey continued: "I got told off earlier for saying a naughty word and that's technically a naughty word."

"No it's not," Tim replied, before he moved on to quiz Caity about her nickname.

Another joked that the show should "expect a few hundred complaints" following the actor's slip-up.

A third added: "P***-up is hardly the C word, calm down Lovejoy. #sundaybrunch."

Others questioned why Tim had suddenly started talking about crumbs during a segment.

"How to fill 3 hours on channel 4 #sundaybrunch," a fourth typed, while another commented: "#sundaybrunch What an odd interview talking about crumbs."

A sixth added: "What is he waffling on about? #sundaybrunch."
