Lorraine Kelly has applauded the latest series of Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm. The first four episodes of the farming reality show’s third season debuted on the streaming platform earlier this month.

On May 3, Clarkson’s Farm series three debuted on streaming and saw 64-year-old Jeremy, Kaleb Cooper, 25, and Lisa Hogan, 50, returning to Diddly Squat Farm. During the show, the trio welcomed pigs, grappled with weather-related setbacks and dealt with drillers on the Chipping Norton yard.

Following the premiere of Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy took to social media to remind fans that another four episodes were due to drop the following week. On May 4, he wrote to his 7.9 million X followers: “It’s probably a good idea to say that four more episodes of Clarkson’s Farm3 are out next week. And I promise they’re less harrowing.”

In the wake of the star’s statement, Lorraine, 64, took the time to gush about the first four instalments of season three. She reshared the former Top Gear presenter’s statement with her own 749,700 followers.

Alongside it, she wrote: “Such a brilliant series - absolutely hilarious and also devastatingly sad. Those wee piglets! Love to Gerald - we missed him during these episodes - hope he’s Ok.”

Following the ITV presenter’s praise, fans flocked to the posts’ comments section to have their say.

One X user typed: “Episode 4 was such a tearjerker! Also really missed Gerald. Little note of appreciation for Charlie’s facial expressions.”

A second wrote: “Me and my husband missed Gerald too! Also as sad as the episodes are We love seeing Jeremy’s compassionate side.”

“Awk the poor piglets,” said another. “..love the show though.”

During the first episode of Clarkson’s Farm 3, entitled Unfarming, Jeremy receives a phone call while out on his tractor - and is informed that his beloved head of security Gerald Cooper has been diagnosed with cancer aged 74.

In the following episode, the ex-Grand Tour host said: “Gerald had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“I’ve been phoning round, doctors and things I know, and his odds are really good, but it’s scaring him to death.

“I know he doesn’t understand and he’s bewildered, for obvious reasons somebody says ‘sorry it’s cancer’, that’s all he heard. He’s desperately upset and terrified, poor man.”

The final four episodes of Clarkson’s Farm series three are due to drop on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, May 10.
