REAL LIFE: Class of '62- From 16 to 60
Film-maker Marilyn Gaunt continues her journey into the lives of her classmates.
This is the last of three documentaries she has made, starting in 1983 when she filmed the 27 girls of her class at a
21-year reunion. The women, pushing 40 at the time, already had some fascinating stories to tell. The second film in 1995 caught up with the women once again,
10 years older and in many cases certainly wiser, and focused on six of her classmates – Sally, the class ‘star’; Denise, the rebel; Margaret, the boy magnet; Dorothy, the quiet one; Gillian, the early leaver and Katy, the class clown.
Now as they all turn 60, Gaunt once again catches up with her lifelong friends (right) to discover how their lives have fared and more about the people these once giddy schoolgirls have now become.
