REAL LIFE: The Hotel Inspector Revisits, 9pm, Five
RUTH Watson (pictured) has left no stone unturned in her quest to reverse Britain’s depressing reputation for poorly run guesthouses, B&Bs and hotels.
In previous series, the no-nonsense businesswoman visited a variety of establishments with an air of Fawlty Towers about them, and advised struggling proprietors to make necessary changes to help transform their businesses into money-making ventures.
Tonight, Watson returns to Langtry Manor, in Bournemouth, run by Pamela Howard and her daughter Tara, to see whether they have made any improvements to the three-star hotel that has been owned by the family for more than 30 years.
It’s been two years since Watson’s last visit to the manor when her initial impressions of this historic dwelling were rather mixed.
Did the women take her advice and put a multitude of new ideas into practice?
