Emmerdale: Dramatic images offer glimpse at explosive Mill Farm fire special
DRAMATIC images of tonight’s episode of Emmerdale have been released, giving fans a sneak peek at the fire set to burn down Mill Farm.
The behind-the-scenes images from ITV promise that the hour-long episode will be an unforgettable watch for soap fans.
In one of the photos Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King, is standing next to her stunt double on set as they film the not-to-be-missed instalment.
In another shot Pasha Bocarie, who portrays lawyer Rakesh Kotecha, can be seen covered in ash as a make-up artist adds more black powder to his face. Presumably, this is after Rakesh torches Mill Farm and then goes back in when he realises that there are people trapped inside.
One photograph shows Fiona Wade, who stars as Rakesh’s wife Priya, waiting under an umbrella to shoot scenes. Not too far away from her is a flame bar that is fully alight and burning away.
Yet another picture shows John McArdle (Ronnie) and Liam Fox (Dan Spencer) having make-up applied to them for the fire scenes.
Tonight’s instalment of Emmerdale will see Rakesh intentionally starting a blaze after realising that the property has dry rot and the costs to renovate it will plunge him into ruin.

At the heart of this you’ve got Rakesh, who’s a good man, doing the wrong thing
He is hoping that by burning down the house he will be able to claim insurance and the payout will help cover the cost of repair.
However, what Rakesh is not banking on is anyone being in Mill Farm when he sets fire to it. Unfortunately, for him Nicola gets trapped in the burning building and is rescued by Ronnie and Dan.
The Mill Farm fire comes a year after the disastrous helicopter crash that struck Emmerdale and claimed the lives of Val Pollard (Charlie Hardwick) and Ruby Haswell (Alicya Eyo).
However, Neil Alderton, who has directed tonight’s climatic episode, has said that the two explosive storylines will be "very different".
Speaking at a recent Emmerdale press conference, Neil told media including Express.co.uk: “At the heart of this you’ve got Rakesh, who’s a good man, doing the wrong thing.
“[He’s] doing a bad thing but for the right reasons because he’s trying to keep his family together.
“Last summer was all about secrets and lies and people trying to cover up deception.”
Emmerdale is on ITV tonight at 7pm.
