CHERYL MCCABE left This Morning viewers in floods of tears today after being reunited with her dog Mitzy, who went missing six years ago.

The Middlesbrough owner appeared with her adorable pooch and told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about the heartbreaking moment she realised Mitzy was missing.
"We never saw her and we put posters out but there was nothing. I thought someone had taken her because she doesn't wander," Cheryl explained.
She added: "It was my son Elliot who as devastated. He was seven at the time, and I had to tell him she had gone missing."
Although explaining that she'd given up hope of ever seeing her dog again, Cheryl explained that she got a call from the vets saying they found Mitzy after a microchip identified her.

Discussing the emotional reunion, Cheryl joked: "I didn't think she would recognise me!

As chilled Mitzy relaxed on the This Morning sofa, viewers at home were left in floods of tears over the emotional reunion.
