Real Madrid: 'Worrying time' for Lopetegui says Burley
That’s according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.
Real Madrid opted against spending big in the summer window and failed to sign a Galactico to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
And it seems club president Florentino Perez’s decision not to fill the void left by the Portuguese is proving costly with new boss Julen Lopetegui already under pressure.
Real have lost two and drawn two of their opening eight La Liga matches that sees them fourth in the table.
The European champions have now also gone four games in all competitions without finding the back of the net with goals clearly a problem.
But Los Blancos are set to address that problem when the January transfer window opens with OK Diario chief Inda claiming Chelsea’s Eden Hazard or Inter Milan forward Icardi being their top targets.
"Real Madrid is going to go for Hazard or Icardi," revealed Eduardo Inda.
"The Argentine is better than Benzema.”

Icardi has been in sensational form for Inter this season, bagging five goals in all competitions.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move away from the San Siro in the summer with several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him but ultimately he opted to stay.
Icardi is currently under contract with the Serie A giants until 2021 and is yet to discuss any fresh terms over a new deal.
Meanwhile, Hazard could be a more realistic target for Real with the Belgian making no secret of his desire to one day play in the Spanish capital.
The winger was the subject of interest from Real during the transfer window but Chelsea refused to let their prized asset follow Thibaut Courtois out the door.
