Cristiano Ronaldo: Is Juventus star to blame for Real Madrid woes? - Balague EXCLUSIVE
CRISTIANO RONALDO’s decision to swap Real Madrid for Juventus has aided Los Blancos’ struggles - but it is not the sole reason - Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has told Express Sport.
It would be easy to blame Ronaldo solely for Real’s plight.
But Balague, speaking exclusively to Express Sport, instead reckons that injuries to key players Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Isco have played a part.
“The story is always simple if we have just one reason,” said Balague, brand ambassador for Football Index, the revolutionary platform which gives users the ability to buy, sell and build a portfolio of players.
“But it’s never as simple as that.
“What’s certain is they’re shooting less, scoring less, they create less chances. Something is happening.

“Isco, Dani Carvajal and Marcelo are all absolutely crucial to this team because they don’t have wingers.

“And at this stage last season he only scored four goals before January.
“So last season already there was a lack of goals from him.
