And Redknapp can already see a huge improvement in the players from when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
“I think it (rebuilding confidence) is a big factor,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
“I have to be honest, a lot of the players their confidence looks so slow.
“I was watching world-class players look like they were playing on the Sunday League. That’s what happened to the players.

“And he’s said it in so many interviews: ‘it’s about the players’. It’s about the players playing to their maximum potential.
“We saw players like Paul Pogba playing in the World Cup and everyone said ‘what a player’.
“And all of a sudden you watch him this season and think ‘what’s happened to this guy?’.
“And now all of a sudden you’re seeing the Paul Pogba that we all know.

“So, listen, he’s been dealt a very kind hand. The fixtures that they’ve had have been relatively easy, no disrespect to Cardiff, to Huddersfield and now to Bournemouth - they’re good fixtures to have and the bigger tests will come.
“But what he’s done is just calm the club down.
“The owners have taken a lot of stick this last year for the decisions they’ve made.
“I wasn’t sure about this one but so far it looks like it’s been a huge success.”
United are back in action on Sunday when they host Bournemouth (4.30pm).
