Liverpool ‘need to forget about Man United’ says pundit
The Reds travel to Old Trafford knowing that a win will put them back at the top of the Premier League.
Manchester City, who are currently top of the table on goal difference, play Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Sunday before hosting West Ham in the league on Wednesday.
Liverpool, who are currently second in the league have a game in hand on City.
Robertson spoke after drawing 0-0 with Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday, and expressed that Liverpool are confident of getting a result against their bitter rivals on Sunday.
United go into the game off the back of a nine-game unbeaten run in the league with their only defeat in the last 13 coming against PSG in the Champions League.
Under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United have looked like a completely new team, and have started playing attacking football again.
But Roberston insisted that despite the superstar lineup of United, Liverpool can still come away with the win.
“It's a big game against Manchester United, it's always big against them. It's a game in hand as well and we look forward to that,” he told Goal.com.

“It's a huge game and they're a different team playing some really good football.
“I think we need to be wary of them but they know what they're coming up against and they need to be wary of us.
“It'll be a good game and one we can hopefully come out on top of.
“You look at their teamsheet or squad list and it's full of stars.

“They came to the party and they have a fantastic team.
“They've got people back from injury as well which always helps and they've got a strong squad as well.
“We know what we're coming up against and we need to stop their danger men but hopefully we've got enough to cause them problems as well to get the result that we need.”
