“When you look at Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returning to the team, they won’t need to bring anyone in.
“It won’t surprise me if Liverpool don’t make a major signing.
“The fans and club trust in what Klopp is doing, so there won’t be any disappointment if he doesn’t sign anyone.”
As it stands, Sturridge will be free to leave Liverpool at the end of the season after six years on Merseyside.

It remains unlikely that the forward will be offered a new contract given the bit-part role he has played this season.
Klopp is set to stick with the crux of what he has already assembled and build on the progress made in the last 18 months.
“I don’t want to talk exactly what we will do, but I don’t think this is a team at the moment where we have to spend the big money, or whatever,” he said last month.
“The best way to do it is bring together a group of players, try to develop them altogether and then stay together for a while.
