Mourinho reveals he used to call Scott McTominay ‘mad dog’
Mourinho handed McTominay his professional debut at Manchester United in 2017.
The academy graduate came on as a second-half substitute against Arsenal in May of that year before making his first start against Crystal Palace later that month.
McTominay was a regular in Mourinho’s squads in his final campaign in charge at United before being sacked in December 2018.
On occasion he used the Scotland international as a defender in a back three, showing the faith he had in him.

Steve Clarke was appointed Scotland manager last week, a coach Jose Mourinho worked with during his time in charge at Chelsea.
The Portuguese expects Clarke to be a success in the role after a successful couple of years at Kilmarnock.
And Mourinho hopes McTominay can play a big part in helping rebuild the Scotland side.
“I think he’s more than ready,” Mourinho said of Clarke on Sky Sports News.
