Arsenal: £40million for Wilfried Zaha is a 'liberty' says pundit
That is the opinion of former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan.
Arsenal made an initial offer of £40m for Zaha on Monday, which is said to have been laughed off by Crystal Palace.
Palace value the Ivory Coast star at around £100m and are in no need to sell after letting Aaron Wan-Bissaka join Manchester United for £50m last week.
Zaha is a boyhood Arsenal fan and is keen on a move to the Emirates.

But Jordan says, by the going rate of forward players in the Premier League, £40m will never be enough for the 26-year-old.
He says the Gunners should not return with another offer if they cannot match what Palace want.
“This is a liberty,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

Saunders said: “The only way they can [offer £40m] with confidence is if they’ve had a conversation with Wilfried Zaha and he’s said to them ‘I’m only going to Arsenal. Don’t worry, if Man United come in for me, if Man City come in for me, I’ll give you my word, I want to come and sign for you’.
“So they can offer whatever they want then, they can put that offer in thinking ‘well he’s coming to us’.
