Erling Haaland would ‘fit in perfectly’ at United says expert
Erling Braut Haaland has made up his mind and wants to join a Premier League club. Ex-Liverpool defender John Arne Riise claims he knows for fact that Manchester United representatives met with the striker last week.
It was reported United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer flew out to Austria for talks with Haaland.
The 19-year-old is wanted by a host of top European clubs and looks set to have played his final match for Red Bull Salzburg as they head into a two-month winter break.
Riise claims to have inside knowledge of what the forward wants to do when the transfer window reopens.
“I know his people have met with United’s people or Solskjaer - but that could just be a general talk about his future,” Riise told beIN SPORTS.
“There are that many clubs involved with him and Riaola, his agent, knows everybody.

However, Riise has warned Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola not to mess about with the youngster’s future.
“There is so much talk about where he is going to go next after this. I think mentally and physically you can’t make too many moves,” he said.
“First you go from Norway to Austria and then to the next one.
“I think he should go to the Premier League next and start testing himself and getting experience and matches.
“If you waste three years and then go to the Premier League you are going to need time to get use to the Premier League, even then. Why don’t he just come now and then get the experience.”
