Arsenal star gives worrying verdict on tactics of boss Mikel Arteta after Chelsea defeat
Arsenal youngster Joe Willock believes it going to be a “long journey” before the Gunners will be able to implement the tactics of new boss Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal: Mikel Arteta says he blames his team for Chelsea loss
Arsenal gave up a one goal lead when they lost 2-1 to Chelsea on Sunday and in the process denied Mikel Arteta a winning return to the Emirates as the Gunners manager.
And while Joe Willock, who came on as a second half substitute, thinks there are some positives to be taken away from the match, he admitted it could be a long process before the team plays the way their new manager wants.
“We all believe in him, we all listen and we all try to put the tactics he does in training on to the pitch,” Willock said about Arteta.
“It’s evident we tried to do it in the first half, but it’s a long journey.
“We’ve only had a week with him and we’re all looking forward to working with him.”

Arsenal made a good start to the game when a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang header put the Gunners ahead after just 13 minutes.
However, Chelsea rallied in the second half and two late goals ensured the Blues left with three points.
With ten minutes to go substitute Jorginho scored their first goal when Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno misjudged a Mason Mount's free-kick to gift the Italian a simple finish.

Chelsea then grabbed a second, three minutes before the end of the game, when Tammy Abraham easily turned Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi in the box before going on to score the winner.
After the match Willock admitted he felt the team tried to play with energy and tempo Arteta wanted.
“He’s installed energy, he’s installed being there for each other and different tactics,” said Willock.
“I thought we did it in the first half and the first 15 minutes of the second half.
