Arsenal are reportedly considering ways to bring Arsene Wenger back to the club, two years after his departure. Wenger spent over two decades with the Gunners, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup titles.
But Wenger’s final years were marred by a slide down the table and protests by fans.
Once the Frenchman’s exit was announced, his achievements and exploits in English football were warmly celebrated.
Wenger looked to return to management and received offers from several clubs but never took on a new job.
And the 70-year-old has since opted to take a role with FIFA as their head of global football development.

Wenger has not been back to Arsenal since leaving but according to the Mirror, the board at the Emirates have been attempting to convince him to return for a homecoming.
It is claimed the hierarchy hope Wenger can ‘help garner support among the fans’ with his former midfielder Mikel Arteta currently in charge at the north London club.
A statue of Wenger outside the ground is also said to be under consideration.
Earlier this year, Wenger bemoaned the lack of soul at the Emirates in comparison to Highbury and other grounds.
