Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp reflects on West Ham victory
Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would have been “really disappointed” to not have started Monday’s visit of West Ham, says Reds legend Jamie Carragher. Liverpool are currently without captain Jordan Henderson due to a hamstring injury. Naby Keita got the nod in place of Henderson against West Ham ahead of former Arsenal man Oxlade-Chamberlain.

And Carragher believes Keita must show more to nail down a starting spot.
“In Keita this is still the man I’m still waiting to explode and show Liverpool supporters what he is about,” he added.
“He’s a funny player in that you can watch a game, and the perfect example is away at Norwich, where he played, he should have scored, and I didn’t think he played particularly well, didn’t have a terrible game but he was just okay.
“And then we had all the stats come through about how many times he regains the ball, how many times he passes to people in the box, all these different stats that when you look at you think ‘You’ve got a top player there’ and he’s always top of them.

“But when I watch a game I don’t feel like I see that with my eyes.
“So I still feel he’s got to stay fit, that’s a big thing for him but there is still a role for someone in central midfield to add more of an attacking thrust for Liverpool, there’s no doubt that that, and that is what he was brought in for and that’s what we need to see a lot more of.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain came on with Liverpool trailing 2-1 and Klopp admitted his introduction changed the game.
