After beating Rangers last week, Leverkusen face Inter Milan for a place in the semi-finals.
Inter are the favorites to win but in Havertz, Leverkusen have a special talent in their ranks.
The midfielder scored 12 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances prompting interest from a host of top clubs.
Chelsea lead the race and have been locked in talks with Leverkusen about a deal.

But Leverkusen have been adamant they will not consider any offers below their £90million valuation.
Havertz is understood to have had his head turned by Chelsea and will force the move once the season is over.
He is expected to start for Leverkusen and line-up alongside Moussa Diaby and Leon Bailey, who have also attracted interest from Premier League clubs.

"He has some things Ballack had, some things Ozil had but he puts it into one package which is what makes him so dangerous.
"I think he has a level of talent that nobody else has. When Chelsea sign him for the next years then I think it will be a great chance to help them win titles in the Premier League.
"That’s how good he is. He worked hard, but he is a smart and humble person.
"That comes from his good family unit and he will continue to work hard and improve every day."
