“The Spurs team are just sitting there and just relying on Son, an individual, to create one moment in the game.
“There’s no method, I’m not seeing any patterns of play in this game. It just seems like a team that doesn’t have any idea what they’re doing when they’ve got the ball.”
Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas was working alongside Ferdinand and was left angry by the first-half display.
“There is no plan, I think that’s the problem," Jenas said.
“I’m watching a group of players who look scared, who don’t want to get on the ball, and that’s one of the biggest crimes you can have as a footballer.”
Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison praised Tuchel's tactics in north London.
However, the Spurs fan admitted it was just not good enough from Mourinho's side in the first half.
Morrison said on BBC Radio 5 Live: "It has not been good enough from Tottenham. Full credit to Chelsea, they have dominated and should be going in further ahead.
"I would be surprised if Jose Mourinho doesn't make any changes or change his shape. Thomas Tuchel has got his tactics spot on.
"Tottenham, in the first half, were nowhere and Son and [Carlos] Vinicius are so isolated."
