Manchester United were held to a 3-3 draw on Saturday after a howler from David de Gea and a 95th minute equaliser from James Rodriguez. A clearly downcast Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played down any talk that his side are in the title race, much to the frustrations of Roy Keane.
Manchester United legend Roy Keane has stated his disagreement after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed the Red Devils are not in the title race.
Second placed United drew 3-3 with Everton on Saturday, throwing away a two goal lead and conceding in the fifth minute of injury time.
This led Solskjaer to talk down any title ambitions about his side, insisting that they should not be considered to be in the race.
But former United captain Keane completely disagrees with Solskjaer’s verdict, stating his belief that the Red Devils should always be looking to win titles, especially given the position they are currently in.

“It’s not great,” Keane said on Sky Sports when asked about the message Solskjaer is sending to the dressing room. “But we said it after the Arsenal game a few weeks ago, we didn’t have that feeling from watching the game from that group of players.
“Ole came out with it last night that he didn’t feel they were ready to win the league.
“I just think that when you're playing for Manchester United and you're up near the top you've got to believe you can win the league title.
“Otherwise you might as well go to a mid table team. You’re at Man United to win titles, simple as that.

“We’ve come a long way, this team. We shouldn’t even be considered as title-chasers.
“That’s one for you [the media] – we’ve got to be better as a team and let’s see where we end up. Going forward, we need to stop conceding easy goals.
“They had three shots that hit between the goals and they scored three goals. It’s disappointing. And when it’s in the last minute of added time it’s very disappointing.
“I wouldn’t blame anyone on the goals but we know we can defend better.”
