Chelsea are unlikely to sign Layvin Kurzawa due to Thomas Tuchel's previous relationship with the player, according to reports. Kurzawa has emerged as a potential signing for Chelsea as they look for short-term cover for Ben Chilwell. England star Chilwell will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.

"They've seen Lucas Digne as well go to Villa since.
"But I'm not sure it's necessarily the best fit, certainly given the relationship between Tuchel and Kurzawa in the past."
Chelsea recalled Kenedy from his loan spell at Flamengo earlier this month as another left-sided option.
But Tuchel is not sure yet if he will include the Brazilian in his 25-man Premier League squad which will be submitted after the end of the January window.

Tuchel said: “Cross the river when you are at the river. We are not at the river yet.
"He has to show if he is able to and if it’s his dream to make his mark. I like the guy, I like his personality and I like the player.
“I saw him not only as Chelsea manager, but also when he played for Chelsea. I remember him playing for Newcastle.
"But let’s be realistic, it’s a long time ago. We will not decide it today and not tomorrow. We have time.”
