Clubs in Leagues One and Two will enter the next month, with the draw for the first round set to take place on Sunday. Non-league teams who have gone through a gruelling qualifying stage are hoping for a mega upset and payday against one of England’s big professional clubs. 

The likes of Portsmouth, Charlton, Bolton and Derby will all enter the FA Cup first round. Express Sport brings you all the details about the draw.

When is the FA Cup first round draw?

Teams will learn their FA Cup first round opponents on Sunday. Fourth qualifying round matches are still to be played over the weekend, with most happening on Saturday. 

The draw will be made at 2.30pm on Sunday and will be live on free-to-air television. Teams who win their first round ties will rake in a healthy £40,000, making it a huge payday for the lowest-ranked clubs.

How to watch the FA Cup first round draw

The draw for the FA Cup first round will be shown live on ITV1. It will take place from 2.30pm and precedes England’s Rugby World Cup quarter-final clash with Fiji.
