Seven Man Utd transfers Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants answers for as trio set for January exits
The January transfer window opens in just over a month but plenty of Premier League clubs are hard at work already to ensure that they can make the best possible moves this winter. Arsenal have reportedly sealed their first mid-season signing by turning David Raya's loan into a permanent move and plenty more transfers are set to take place.
Chelsea have been the Premier League's biggest spenders since Todd Boehly and co took over at Stamford Bridge. It is unlikely that they would turn their nose up at potential deals with Mauricio Pochettino's side hoping to take the next step and challenge for the top four this season.
Manchester United are also locked in a battle to qualify for the Champions League and the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe could see his first public judgement come from the transfer window. The Brit's deal to purchase 25 per cent of the club should be announced soon and he will oversee the sporting side of the Red Devils, who are in need of further investment.

Christopher Nkunku has yet to play a competitive match for Chelsea since signing in the summer - but the wait is nearly over.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the French attacker is now closing in on his debut after a lengthy lay-off with an injury sustained in August.
However, he will play no part against Newcastle tomorrow at St James' Park.
Pochettino explained: "[Romeo] Lavia and Nkunku are still out. No timeframe. It’s difficult to say because we need to assess them day by day.
"They’re in a good condition. Nkunku is a little ahead of Lavia, he was doing things with the group last week, but he has still not recovered enough to be part of the squad."
West Ham have reportedly been told that Bournemouth are not interested in selling talisman Dominic Solanke in January.
The Hammers are looking for more firepower up front after Michail Antonio's injury, but talkSPORT have claimed that Bournemouth will not part ways with Solanke.
With six goals already to his name already this season, the Cherries are desperate to keep him as they hope to steer clear of a relegation battle - but West Ham could reignite their interest in the summer.
Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Valencia's young defender Yarek Gasiorowski.
During a breakthrough season, the 18-year-old is being monitored by the Gunners according to AS.
He has been a long-term target but Mikel Arteta and co had previously been unable to sign him due to Brexit, though now he has turned 18 Arsenal can make another move for the centre-back.

Chelsea have added Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri to their shortlist of potential January additions.
That's according to 90min, who claim that the Blues are monitoring the Algerian's progress as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Ian Maatsen could depart with his contract up at the end of the year, while Alphonso Davies and Valentin Barco have also been mentioned as potential incomings.
Tottenham forward Richarlison is reportedly willing to leave the club after failing to live up to expectations in north London.
The Brazilian has spent just over a year with Spurs after his £60million move from Everton, but UOL have claimed that he is prepared to leave already.
Saudi Arabian teams are said to have already registered their interest, though whether Spurs are prepared to part ways with Richarlison remains to be seen.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has insisted that his side have no "advantage" in the January transfer window due to their affiliation with Saudi Pro League clubs.
They share the same owners as four Saudi giants and had been linked with a loan for Al-Hilal's Ruben Neves, after the Premier League vote to temporarily block such moves did not pass.
“I found it a bit strange that the focus has been solely on us," Howe said. "Every club has a right to vote how they want to vote and it hasn't gone through so it's not just about us.
“There is no advantage in my eyes, we are the same as every other Premier League club. It is the same for everyone. I understand the focus being on us but it is not solely on us. We can recruit from a league.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has insisted that he wants to keep Takehiro Tomiyasu at the club despite rumours linking him elsewhere.
The Gunners have reportedly opened talks over the defender's future as he has less than two years left on his current contract.
Arteta clearly wants him to be part of Arsenal's long-term plans. "I really want him to stay," said Arteta at today's press conference.
"I value the player a lot. He’s loved and respected by everybody at the club. He’s at the level we need to make an impact on the team. He’s going to be with us."
Tottenham and Chelsea may be braced for further transfer competition from Arsenal for Feyenoord star Santiago Gimenez.
Both teams have been linked with the 22-year-old striker along with several Italian sides, but now the Gunners appear to have entered the race.
Italian outlet TV Play have claimed that Arsenal are 'more than interested' in Gimenez, who would be interested in a January move to the Emirates if they stump up his £35million asking price.
"I think he owes Brentford," Minto said. "If Brentford want him to stay, I think he owes the club to stay until the end of the season. But he's gone [after that]."
Manchester United have entered the race for Everton defender and Tottenham transfer target Jarrad Branthwaite.
That's according to TEAMTalk, who claim that the England Under-21 star tops the Red Devils' defensive wishlist.
Whether they are prepared to meet Everton's valuation remains to be seen but United have been impressed with his performances this season in the Premier League.
