Manchester City and England goalkeeper Hart twice made headlines for the wrong reasons last month when he was pictured on boozy nights, first in Marbella and then in St Andrews, in Scotland.
He broke no club rules because he was on official time off but the incidents incurred the wrath of City’s Italian manager Roberto Mancini – and Hart admits he has been taught a lesson.
He said: “I don’t think you have to live like a monk. I just think you have to be a bit smart about how you do it. Maybe at my age and not realising the position you are in, naivety comes into it a little but you have to learn fast as a footballer.”
