Steven Nzonzi's transfer request was turned down earlier this summer
The French midfielder announced he wanted to join a bigger club after Mark Hughes replaced Tony Pulis at the Britannia Stadium.
However, Hughes has refused to bow to the 24-year-old's demands and maintains that Nzonzi will not be sold.
The former Blackburn player started for Stoke during their 1-0 pre-season win over Wrexham at the weekend, after being substituted early during a friendly in America last week.

"It was the plan to give him 45 here because Steven and Wilson Palacios had more game time in America," said Hughes.
