Roy Keane is tipped to take over at Parkhead[GETTY]
Express Sport’s columnist reckons the outspoken Republic of Ireland assistant manager, above, could take the Hoops to the next level.
Keane – who had a short spell with Celtic at the end of his playing career in the 2005-6 season – has previously had spells in management with Sunderland and Ipswich.
Nicholas said: “Roy Keane, for me, is the one outstanding candidate out there for the Celtic job.
“There will be a long list of managers who would jump at the job but I would go for Keane.
“He’s a winner. He demands and sets standards – and that’s the type of manager Celtic should be seeking.”
