Emre Can believes Liverpool are at the start of a new era
While the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday dented Liverpool's Champions League hopes for next season, the 21-year-old says Brendan Rodgers' dynamic squad can develop in stature in future seasons.
The defeat leaves the Reds five points behind United in fifth place.
"I definitely feel we're at the start of a new era," said Can.

"It's a very, very young team with Phillippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Lazar Markovic.
"But I think the team needs to keep improving, and continue doing what we're doing at the moment to get to these years.
"But I believe there are good years ahead."
Despite coming within a whisker of securing the Premier League title last season, the Reds have not won the league since 1990.
