With a bright future expected for the full-back, new boss Koeman tied Kenny's future down.
However, the 19-year-old is prepared to fight for a chance at Premier League football.
And if Kenny can't break into the side this term, he has admitted loan options will be explored.
“Hopefully I’ll get another chance in the first team this season, that’s my aim," Kenny told the Liverpool Echo.
“I’m not here just to be one of the lads, I want to be a first-team footballer.
“I want to get into the first team and if that doesn’t happen then I’ll try and go on loan but my first aim is to get into the first team and break through.”

Jonjoe Kenny made 10 appearances for England's Under-19s side
Kenny made his debut in England's top flight at the end of last season, coming on as a substitute against Norwich.
The reward from then-caretaker boss David Unsworth came after two successful loan spells last season at Wigan and Oxford.
Everton's Kenny has also represented England at U16, 17, 18 and 19 levels, highlighting his potential.
